The 21st Annual International CBRN Symposium is taking place for its second year in the new Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre. This event, organised with our special interest group CBRN UK, brings together practitioners, end users, policy makers, and suppliers from UK and overseas to discuss the latest developments in this sector.

The continued threat and the continued learning from recent events in Syria, Salisbury and Malaysia continue to highlight the challenges in preparing for mitigating and recovering from events involving these materials. This year’s CBRN conference will address CBRN, counterthreat and resilience with a comprehensive speaker programme with representatives from across Government, industry, and academia. An extended exhibition area will permit access to vendors with the latest developments in CBRN and counter-threat related products. In parallel with this and embracing an innovation theme, this years event is pleased to be presenting some of the research outcomes following completion of Phase 1 of the MOD-STFC funded Nuclear Security Network (nusec.org) in a poster session on Day 1. We are additionally delighted to be hosting a 1-day exhibition of European Union funded CBRN-related research programmes on Day 2 in conjunction with the ENCIRCLE project. The main ENCIRCLE workshop will take place on 14 November at the same venue for which a separate registration will be required, details to follow.
