CBRNe Actors

The institutional actors (authorities) who have responsibilities when it comes to CBRNe incidents may vary from country to country. We are not aware of any studies or sourveys, which aimed on the identification of all the actors responsible for response to CBRNe incidents in EU countries. However, such studies exist for the Baltic Sea region.

The coordinators of Policy Area Secure (PA Secure) in the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region (EUSBSR), namely the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB) and the Secretariat of the Council of the Baltic Sea States (CBSS) have commissioned survey entitled Mapping of responsibilities for CBRNE emergency management in the Baltic Sea region, which is available HERE. This survey provides an information regarding institutional actors (authorities) having responsibilities when it comes to CBRNE incidents in Denmark,  Estonia,  Finland,  Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Sweden.
